Tmen reshape roster for 2025

The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen will have a fresh look in 2025.

Long time Timbermen Jon Phillips and Nate Wade have been moved in separate transactions and the team has added new players like Matt Abbott and Liam Phillips.

Jon Phillips and Aidan Baker were sent to Langley in exchange for Abbott who will provide Nanaimo with leadership and a strong presence on the backend.

Abbott is also a key faceoff man with a .610 percentage in the 2024 WLA season.

Nate Wade was moved to Victoria with Liam Phillips and former Timbermen Junior A standout Jack Bowie coming to the Tmen.

Phillips is a tenacious defender while Bowie will add to Nanaimo's left side offense.

Former New Westminster Salmonbellies scorer Luke Pilcher has been brought in to beef up the offence.

Pilcher had 17 points in ten games for the Bellies in 2024.

2025 Maple Ridge draft pick Jordan Neary has been signed as well with a couple of familiar names recently committing to Nanaimo for this season.

After missing 2025 due to injury Ryan Sheridan is returning to the WLA and Lukas Olsson is back for a second year with the team.

More player additions are set to be announced in the coming weeks with the WLA season slated to kick off on May 22 in New Westminster.

The home opener is May 31 against the Victoria Shamrocks.
